The RCF currently consists of two computing clusters. One of the clusters is located in Edinburgh (hare.epcc.ed.ac.uk) and the other in St. Andrews (burke.st-andrews.ac.uk).
The two clusters are similar in size and capabilities but small differences exist in the software and queuing systems. These are documented on the individual pages.
Both systems were assembled by Streamline Computing and run Sun's Grid Engine as their job scheduling tool.
