June 2026. PIs and Facility Managers from across EaStCHEM gathered at the beautiful Edinburgh Futures Institute on Tuesday 23 June for the EaStCHEM Away Day 2026.

June 2026. The team from EaStCHEM’s UKRI Programme Grant “Boron: Beyond the Reagent” will deliver the Boron 2027 International Conference in June 2027.

June 2026. Several EaStCHEM colleagues have been honoured in the Royal Society of Chemistry’s (RSC) 2026 Prize Awards. These prestigious awards recognise outstanding achievements and significant contributions that advance the chemical sciences and their impact on society.

October 2025. Three new cross-EaStCHEM PhD students have started in October 2025, working on projects that draw on expertise from across the EaStCHEM partner schools.​

June 2025. Over sixty early career researchers gathered on the 17th of June for the 7th EaStCHEM ECR Conference, hosted this year by the University of St Andrews.

December 2023. Christmas has come early for the School of Chemistry NMR Facility with the delivery of two new pieces of advanced equipment.

July 2023. Guy Lloyd-Jones and Allan Watson will head up a world class team working on £6million EPSRC grant to provide major advances in the application of borylated compounds.

May 2022. The results of the Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021) recognise the enduring strength of EaStCHEM’s partnership, which provides the largest chemistry research unit in the UK.
